The courthouse is located on the grassy slope with a unique view of St. Gallen. Higher up, the new villas form a spatial sequence of gardens and stairs. Both the courthouse and the villas are orientated towards the view and contribute, with their small footprint, to keeping the grassy slope as large and intact as possible. In this way, the view is preserved for the villas at the top. The courthouse contains several halls, all grouped around a garden courtyard in the centre of the building.
