Concert hall in Nuremberg

The compact concert hall adds to the existing building ensemble and defines two new urban spaces with connections to the existing entrances to the Meistersingerhalle and its small hall.

Around the concert hall, which forms the heart of the building, projections in the structure provide space for service and visitor functions. The four sides of the concert hall have different characters with special connections:

A city loggia, a two-storey break room with a balcony overlooking the surrounding city.
A visitor foyer with a bar invites visitors inside. The high atrium space provides insight into the building’s floors and galleries.
The garden foyer/summer stage forms a connection between the square and the ground floor. During the summer months, it can be used for outdoor concerts.
The artist foyer to the south provides access to the musicians and deliveries. The small hall on the top floor provides insight into the daily work and a view of the surrounding park.
