The terrace opens towards the Forum.

The new canteen and university administration forms the eastern end of the Forum urban space and, together with the library and the northern buildings, defines the central urban square of the Adlershof science centre in Berlin.

The four-storey building forms two courtyards with different qualities: the western and Forum-orientated dining hall opens up under a large curved roof. The administration and offices are orientated towards a green courtyard to the east.
